Second Pass Checker
Paste a ledger and the memo drafted about it. Before a reviewer spends an hour on it, the checker ties each figure it can read back to the ledger, tests the direction words, finds the lines nobody mentioned, and says plainly what it could not read.

Halyard Provisioning Group, June 2026: fourteen ledger lines against a twelve-sentence draft. One run shows how much of the memo was checked, which sentences failed and why, which ones a person still has to read, and the line nobody wrote about.
One account per line with a prior and a current balance, separated by tabs, quoted commas or aligned columns, or a QuickBooks or Xero comparison report. Dollar signs, thousands commas and (parentheses) for negatives are read. A row it cannot use is listed, never guessed at, and unquoted thousands in a comma separated line are refused. A line starting S1., 1. or (a) is kept whole; anything else is split into sentences. Dollar and percent figures and whole numbers in words are read. A multiplier, a fraction or a form it does not read leaves that sentence not checked.

Naming, ratios and the boundary rule
Account numbers, with plus, minus, times, divide and parentheses. The dollar rule is more than the floor and the percent rule is at least it, both decided on unrounded values.

The two prompts
Prompt 1, draft the memo
Hands the ledger and the threshold to the drafting tool and fixes the shape of every line: account number, prior, current, change, percent, direction, one reason, and the source that reason came from. Lines below the threshold get one closing sentence.
Prompt 2, second pass
Hands over the run's coverage counts, every unresolved item, and the sentences that were checked within scope with the two judgment questions, and tells the reviewer to recompute anything they doubt. Run the checker first, or this one has nothing to carry.
Run it before anybody reads the memo, and read the coverage before the findings. The mechanical checks settle only the figures they could read; the reviewer's time then goes to the queue: what was not read, the driver, and the period.
